iPhone 11 and iPhone XR: What's the catch?

The new iPhone 11 is the successor of the iPhone XR, its worth to know what has been changed and what remains the same. Display – While the new Super Retina XDR displays have been provided in the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, the display panel in the iPhone 11 is same as that of iPhone XR. The display is a 6.1-inch LCD with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display has 1400:1 contrast ratio and 625 nits max brightness. Cameras – This is an area where the iPhone 11 is a massive upgrade over the iPhone XR. The iPhone 11 comes with dual cameras: a primary camera and an ultrawide camera. The primary camera in iPhone 11 and iPhone XR is the same 12 MP shooter with f/1.8 aperture and OIS. The ultrawide camera on iPhone 11 is a 12 MP shooter with f/2.4 aperture. India-Japan PPH?

The draft Patent Amendment Rules published by the Indian Patent Office in 2018 might just be a step towards formalizing a Patent Prosecution Highway between India Japan. At the Japan-India Summit Meeting on October 29, 2018, the leaders of the two countries concurred to start a bilateral PPH program on a pilot basis in certain fields of inventions in first quarter of 2019. Under the PPH, Japanese companies can request expedited examinations in India based on patent applications granted in Japan. This will result in smooth and quick grant of these patent applications in India. The actual implementation of the PPH would require amendments of the Patent Rules in India. This PPH is the first of a kind in India, and would be expanded in future to include more jurisdictions such as USA, Europe, China, and Korea. WIPO’s anti-piracy database

Wold Intellectual Property Organization or WIPO, the biggest organization at the forefront of the world Intellectual Property scene, has unveiled its new database, Building respect for Intellectual Property Database or BRIP database. BRIP is a project based on “follow the money” approach to tackle copyright infringement. It aims to stop funding of the websites that are flagged for copyright infringement. Presently, due to the complex nature of the online advertising systems, websites flagged for copyright infringement also receive revenue through online advertisements. The brands of the products shown in such advertisements are also diluted as the websites present copyright infringing material. How does BRIP work? “Authorized users” can access the BRIP database and can download the list and use it to block as placements on third-party websites.
