Xiaomi has launched its latest installation of the gaming smartphone (Black Shark 2 Pro) and packs impressive specs in the roll out. Leading all the devils of the gaming smartphone is the Asus ROG Phone 2 with the leading tech pre-installed. Shown below is the table highlighting the key differences in the phones (spoiler – ROG Phone 2 is the undisputed winner):

Display – Winner (ROG Phone 2)
While both the phones flaunt the AMOLED display
and similar size of 6.39inch, the refresh rate on the ROG phone is a game
changer when it comes to the smoothness of the transitions and gaming media.
Performance – Winner (ROG Phone 2)
Both devices have a Snapdragon 855 Plus, making
them equal in terms of performance and efficiency, the difference however shows
up when the processor pairs up with the RAM. With the fully ramped up model of
Black Shark 2 performing almost similar to the ROG phone, winner still is the
ROG phone with efficient internal memory operations.
Battery – Winner (ROG Phone 2)
Big battery is a better battery and hence the
winner is clearly ROG phone 2. However, the charging speed of both phones is
pretty much even, which means that Black Shark will reach a full charge much
before the ROG Phone 2 and it will keep you away from being plugged in.
Design – Almost a tie but ROG Phone 2 is
slightly edgier
Xiaomi’s Black Shark 2 Pro is essentially a
vanilla Back Shark 2 with additional LED lights and a revamped back cover. On
the other hand, the ROG Phone 2 gets a glass back and aluminum finish as well
as integrated Air Triggers to enhance the gaming experience.
Camera – Tie
Similar camera set-ups on both the phones,
however, with so much heavy equipment packed inside are you really going to
pull-up the cameras to shoot the mortal beings? I don’t think so. On a serious
note that cameras do a good job in capturing the details and colors, gaming +
Instagram lovers will cheer.
